And whereas, under item (ii) of heading 5 under clause (D) of paragraph III of the said notification, the Coastal Zone Management Plans already approved under the Coastal Regulation Zone notification, 1991, were allowed to be used up to the 31st January, 2017 by the Central Government vide notification number S.O. 1213 (E), dated the 22nd March, 2016; And whereas, after the review of the status of preparation of Integrated Coastal Regulation Zone and Integrated Islands Management Plan, the Central Government is satisfied that it may take some more time for the Union territories to submit their respective draft Integrated Coastal Regulation Zone and Integrated Islands Management Plan for approval; And whereas, the Central Government, having regard to provision of sub-rule (4) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, is of the opinion that it is in public interest to dispense with the requirement of notice under clause (a) of sub-rule (3) of rule 5 of the said rules for further amending the said notification; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (v) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) read with clause (d) of sub-rules (3) and (4) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the said notification, namely:-¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(ii)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3 In the said notification in paragraph III, in clause D, under the heading 5 relating to period for which ICRZ and lIMPs shall be valid, for item (ii), the following item shall be substituted, namely:- "(ii) The Coastal Zone Management Plans for the Island as already approved by the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests under the Coastal Regulation Zone notification, 1991 and for which the Integrated Coastal Regulation Zone and Integrated Islands Management Plan have not been prepared as per the said notification shall be used till the 31st July, 2017."
