S.O. 4106(E).— Whereas, by notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of
Financial Services number S.O. 6254(E), dated the 21st December, 2018 issued under sub-section (1) of section 23 A of
the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government has notified for amalgamation of the Madhya
Bihar Gramin Bank and Bihar Gramin Bank (Regional Rural Banks), sponsored by the Punjab National Bank and UCO
Bank into a single Regional Rural Bank called as the “Dakshin Bihar Gramin Bank” with its Head Office at Patna under
the sponsorship of Punjab National Bank.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 23D of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of
1976), the Central Government hereby directs that with effect from the 1st January, 2019, the Madhya Bihar Gramin
Bank and Bihar Gramin Bank, which by reason of amalgamation have ceased to function, shall stand dissolved and this
direction shall take effect notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in section 26 of the said Act.

S.O. 4110(E). — Whereas, by notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of
Financial Services number S.O. 983(E), dated the 22nd February, 2019 issued under sub-section (1) of section 23 A of
the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government has notified for amalgamation of the Pragathi
Krishna Gramin Bank and Kaveri Grameena Bank (Regional Rural Banks), sponsored by the Canara Bank and State
Bank of India into a single Regional Rural Bank called as the “Karnataka Gramin Bank” with its Head Office at Ballari
under the sponsorship of Canara Bank.¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(ii)] Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 5
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 23D of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of
1976), the Central Government hereby directs that with effect from the 1st April, 2019, the Pragathi Krishna Gramin
Bank and Kaveri Grameena Bank, which by reason of amalgamation have ceased to function, shall stand dissolved and
this direction shall take effect notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in section 26 of the said Act.

Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government has notified for amalgamation of the Vananchal
Gramin Bank and Jharkhand Gramin Bank (Regional Rural Banks), sponsored by the State Bank of India and Bank of
India into a single Regional Rural Bank called as the “Jharkhand Rajya Gramin Bank” with its Head Office at Ranchi
under the sponsorship of State Bank of India.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 23D of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of
1976), the Central Government hereby directs that with effect from the 1st April, 2019, the Vananchal Gramin Bank and
Jharkhand Gramin Bank, which by reason of amalgamation have ceased to function, shall stand dissolved and this

Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government has notified for amalgamation of the Pallavan
Grama Bank and Pandyan Grama Bank (Regional Rural Banks), sponsored by the Indian Bank and Indian Overseas
Bank into a single Regional Rural Bank called as the “Tamil Nadu Grama Bank” with its Head Office at Salem under the
sponsorship of Indian Bank.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 23D of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of
1976), the Central Government hereby directs that with effect from the 1st April, 2019, the Pallavan Grama Bank and

Bank, State Bank of India and Punjab & Sind Bank into a single Regional Rural Bank called as the “Punjab Gramin
Bank” with its Head Office at Kapurthala under the sponsorship of Punjab National Bank.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 23D of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of
1976), the Central Government hereby directs that with effect from the 1st January, 2019, the Punjab Gramin Bank

and State Bank of India into a single Regional Rural Bank called as the “Assam Gramin Vikash Bank” with its Head
Office at Guwahati under the sponsorship of United Bank of India.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 23D of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of
1976), the Central Government hereby directs that with effect from the 1st April, 2019, the Assam Gramin Vikash Bank
(erstwhile) and Langpi Dehangi Rural Bank, which by reason of amalgamation have ceased to function, shall stand
dissolved and this direction shall take effect notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in section 26 of the said
Act.
