वाहनJ के उपयोग के िलए कोई सlवस रोड अथवा वैकि(cid:6)पक सड़क उपलmध न हो।
6. जो यािं %क वाहन अपनी vणे ी के िलए िनधा(cid:24)!रत अनsु ये भार क(cid:28) अपेWा अिधक भार से लदा Qआ होगा उसके
चालक अथवा मािलक अथवा Cभारी pिP को ऐसे अिधक भार स े लदे Qए वाहन को रा(cid:20)ीय राजमाग(cid:24) म . Cवेश कराने के
िलए शु(cid:6)क संLहण एजस. ी को उP िनयमJ के िनयम 10 के उप िनयम 1ए के अनुसार शु(cid:6)क का भुगतान करना होगा और उस े
राजमाग(cid:24) खAड का उपयोग करने क(cid:28) तब तक अनमु ित नहx होगी जब तक (cid:4)क ऐसे यािं %क वाहन से अिधक भार को हटा न
(cid:4)दया जाए।
7. यांि%क वाहनJ क(cid:28) vेणी, उनके िलए अनsु ेय भार, छूट-Cाy वाहनJ क(cid:28) vेणी, सlवस रोड, वैकि(cid:6)पक सड़क आ(cid:4)द
सिहत सभी प!रभाषाए ंिनयमJ म. िविनTदU प!रभाषाg के अनुसार हJगी।
8. उP िनयमJ के िनयम 12 के अनसु ार, उपयोगकताg(cid:24) क(cid:28) जानकारी के िलए शु(cid:6)क क(cid:28) दरJ को Cदlशत (cid:4)कया
जाएगा।
9. ऊपर सारणी-1म. यथा-उि(cid:6)लिखत, आधार वष(cid:24) 2007-08के िलए Cित (cid:4)कलोमीटर शु(cid:6)क क(cid:28) आधार दर के आधार
पर, यांि%क वाहनJ स ेिलए जाने वाले वाSतिवक शु(cid:6)क और कटौितयJ क(cid:28) गणना Cािधकरण ,ारा खंडJ क(cid:28) परू ी कर ली गई
ल(cid:10)बाई के आधार पर क(cid:28) जायगे ी और उसम. उP िनयमJ के िनयम 5 के अनुसार वाlषक तौर पर संशोधन (cid:4)कया जाएगा
तथा उस,े तदनुसार, अंLेजी और Sथानीय भाषा के कम-स-े कम एक-एक समाचार प% म. Cकािशत (cid:4)कया जाएगा।

S.O. 4179(E).—Whereas by notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways number S.O.5568(E) dated 29th October, 2018 issued under section 11 of National Highways Authority of
India Act, 1988 (68 of 1988), the Central Government has entrusted the stretch from existing chainage kilometer
136.600 to kilometer 268.475 excluding Kilometer 239.600 to Kilometer 241.520 (1.920Km) of Kerala Border to
Kollegal Section of National Highway No.212 (New NH-766), in the State of Karnataka to the National Highways
Authority of India (hereinafter referred to as the “Authority”);
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of
1956), read with rule 3 of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008 (hereinafter
referred to as the “rules”), the Central Government hereby levies the fee at the 60% of rate specified in column (2) of
the Table 1 for net road section length of 98.157 km and for equivalent structure length (having length more than 60m)
of 3.38 km (having length of 0.338 km) for the use of two lane with paved shoulders and at the 100% of rate specified
in column (2) of the Table 1 for net road section length of 28.751 km and for equivalent structure length (having length
more than 60m) of 2.79 km (having length of 0.279 km) on the type of vehicles specified in column (1) of the Table 1
below for the use of four lane of Kerala Border to Kollegal Section from design kilometer 136.586 to Kilometer
267.841 (existing chainage kilometer 136.600 to kilometer 268.475 excluding Kilometer 239.600 to Kilometer 241.520
(1.920Km)) of National Highway number 212 (New NH-766) in the State of Karnataka and authorises the Authority to

As per the decision taken by the Competent Authority, the fee plazas specified in column 1 of Table 2 above is notified
as temporary fee plazas with the condition that NHAI will relocate these fee plazas in accordance with rule 8 of the
said rules within a period of two years.
2. In addition to above, the following fee shall also be due and payable for the use of the following structures
having length more than 60m at the following Fee Plaza(s), by converting the length of structures into an equivalent

3. The rate of monthly pass for a person who owns a mechanical vehicle registered for non-commercial purposes
and resides within a distance of twenty kilometres from the fee plaza is Rs 265.00 (Rupees Two Hundred sixty Five
only) for the year 2019-20 and is subject to revision every year as per the provisions of the said rules.
4. For multiple journeys on the highway section, passes shall be issued at the following rates, namely: -

5. Fee for commercial vehicle (excluding vehicles plying under National permit) registered in the district where
the fee plaza falls shall be 50% of the specified rate for that category of vehicle provided no service road or alternative
road is available for use of such commercial vehicles.
6. The driver or owner or a person in charge of a mechanical vehicle which is loaded in excess of permissible
load specified for its category, shall be liable to pay fee for entering the overloaded vehicle on the National Highway to
the fee collecting agency, equal to the fee specified in sub-rule 1A of rule 10 of the said rules, and shall not be entitled
to make use of the highway section unless the excess load has been removed from such mechanical vehicle.
7. All definitions including category of mechanical vehicles, its permissible load, category of exempted vehicles,
service road, alternative road, etc. shall be as per definitions specified in the said rules.
8. The fee rates shall be displayed for information of the users in accordance with rule 12 of the said rules.
9. Based on the base rate of fee per kilometer for the base year 2007-08 as mentioned in Table-1 above, the
actual amount of fee to be charged from the mechanical vehicles and the discounts will be calculated by the Authority
on the basis of the completed length of the section and revised annually in accordance with the rule 5 of the said rules
and the same shall be published in at least one newspaper in English and vernacular language.
10. The estimated capital cost of the project is Rupees 429.45 crore. [The capital cost is subject to variation as the
activities of land acquisition, utility shifting, tree cutting, etc. are yet to be completed and the final capital cost will be
notified separately]. The Authority shall maintain a record of the recovery of capital cost through user fee realised and
after recovery of the capital cost, the fee leviable shall be reduced to 40% of the rates and shall be revised annually in
accordance with the said rules.
