NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th February, 2017.
S.O. 506(E).—Whereas by notifications of Government of India in Ministry of Petroleum and Natural
Gas number S.O.1851(E) dated 28th July, 2009; S.O.3032 dated 16th November, 2004; issued under sub-
section (1) of Section 3 of the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act,
1962 (50 of 1962) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), Government of India declared its intention to
acquire Rights of Users in lands, specified in the schedules appended to those notifications, for the purpose of
laying Hajira – Dahej Gas Pipeline by M/s Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (now M/s Reliance
Industries Limited) for transportation of natural gas;
And whereas, Government of India, after considering the reports submitted by the Competent
Authority under sub-section(1) of Section 6 of the Act and on being satisfied that the said lands were required
for laying the pipeline, decided to acquire the Rights of Users therein;
And whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Act,
Government of India declared acquisition of the Rights of Users in lands, specified in the schedules appended
to those notifications, for laying the said pipeline, vide notifications of Government of India in Ministry of
Petroleum and Natural Gas number S.O. 239(E) dated 2nd February, 2010; S.O. 1917 dated 26th May, 2005;
And whereas, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (4) of Section 6 of the Act, Government
of India declared vesting the Rights of Users in the said lands for laying the pipeline in M/s Indian
Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (Now Reliance Industries Limited) instead of Government of India, free
from all encumbrances on the dates of publication of respective declarations;
And whereas, M/s Reliance Gas Pipelines Limited (RGPL), which is laying Dahej- Nagothane Ethane
Pipeline, intends to share with M/s Reliance Industries Limited the Rights of Users in lands described in the
schedule appended to this notification, which has been earlier vested in M/s Indian Petrochemicals
Corporation Limited (Now Reliance Industries Limited) as mentioned above;
And whereas, M/s Reliance Industries Limited has consented to the sharing of the Rights of Users in
the said lands with M/s Reliance Gas Pipelines Limited for the purpose of laying Dahej- Nagothane Ethane
Pipeline.
Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred under sub-section (4) of Section 6 of the Act,
Government of India directs that the Rights of Users in the said lands, vested earlier in M/s Reliance
Industries Limited, would also be vested in M/s Reliance Gas Pipelines Limited, free from all encumbrances
