NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 6th August, 2020
S.O 2637(E).–– Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport
and Highways, number S.O. 1076 (E) dated 13.03.2020, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,
Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956)
(hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in[भाग II—खण् ड 3(ii)] भारत का राजपत्र : ऄसाधारण 3
the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/two lane with paved shoulder/four laning, etc.),
maintenance, management and operation of Newly Proposed in the stretch of land from Km 13/610 to Km 16/000
(Special District Revenue Officer (LA NH) 205, NH-716B, NH-4, NH-5 Tiruvallur District, No 3/4, Lal Bagathur
Sastri St., Periyakuppam, Near Thulasi Theatre, Thiruvallur 602001) in the district of CHENNAI in the State of
TAMIL NADU
And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in the “The Hindu” in English and in
“Dina Thanthi” in Tamil both dated 26.04.2020; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;
And whereas no objection petitions have been received from the land owners/the interested persons in the
said land within the time prescribed;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Competent Authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the Schedule below should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule below shall
vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
