RESOLUTION
New Delhi, the 25th May, 2016.
No. 12011/13/2016-BC-II.—Whereas by the Resolution of the Government of India, Ministry of
Welfare bearing No.12011/68/93-BCC dated 10.9.1993 published in Extra Ordinary issue of the Gazette of
India, Part-I, Section-1, G.N. No. 186, Monday, September 13, 1993 in the State : Himachal Pradesh :
Common List : Gaddi (in merged areas only) was included against S.No.47 and Gujjar or Gujar (in merged
areas only) was included against S.No.48 vide Resolution No.12011/68/93-BCC dated 10.9.1993 published in
Extra Ordinary issue of the Gazette of India, Part-I, Section-1, G.N. No. 186, Monday, September 13, 1993
and vide Resolution No.12011/21/1995-BCC published in Extra Ordinary issue of Gazette of India Part–I,
Section–1 G.N. No. 83, Tuesday, May 16, 1995.
Whereas by the Resolution of the Government of India, Ministry of Welfare bearing
No.12011/7/1995 dated 25.5.1995 and 17.7.1995 published in Extra Ordinary issue of the Gazette of India,
Part-I, Section-1, G. No. 88, Thursday, May 25,1995 in the State : Sikkim : Common List : Limboo (including
Tsong, Subba and Yakthungba) was included against S.No.3.
Whereas the said communities “Gaddi (in merged areas only)”, “Gujjar or Gujar (in merged areas
only)” and “Limboo (including Tsong, Subba and Yakthungba)” have been included in the list of Scheduled
Tribes of Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim respectively, there the following amendments are made in the said
Resolutions namely:
1. S. No. 47 and entry namely “Gaddi (in merged areas only)” caste and S.No.48 and entry namely
“Gujjar or Gujar (in merged areas only)” stands deleted from the Central List of OBCs for the State
of Himachal Pradesh.
2. S. No. 3 and entry namely “Limboo (including Tsong, Subba and Yakthungba)” caste stands deleted
from the Central List of OBCs for the State of Sikkim.
