S.O. 3500(E).—Whereas Central Government by Order No. 313/2016 bearing file No. A.12026/2/2016-Ad.I,
dated 29th August, 2016, appointed Shri B.K. Bansal, an officer of Indian Revenue Service (C & CE:1981) as Member
of the Appellate Tribunal established under Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act,
1976 with effect from the date he takes over charge of the post.
And whereas, Shri B.K. Bansal assumed the charge of the office of Member of the said Tribunal in the forenoon
of 27th September, 2016.
Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 12 of the Smugglers and
Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act, 1976 (13 of 1976), read with sub-rule (2) of rule 11 of the
Appellate Tribunal for Forfeited Property (Conditions of Service of Chairman and Member) Rules, 1978, the Central
Government hereby notifies the appointment of Shri B.K. Bansal as a Member of the aforesaid Tribunal.
Shri B.K. Bansal shall hold office till he attains the age of sixty-two years or until further orders whichever is
earlier.
