बढा दी थी;
अत:, अब, केंद्रीय सरकार, पयाावरण राहत जनजध स्ट् कीम, 2008 के पैरा 4 के उप-पैरा (2) के अनुसरण म ें और
अजधसूचना संख् या सा.का.जन. 606(अ), तारीख 16 िून 2016 को, उन बातों के जसवाय जिन् ह ें ऐसे अजधक्ांत करत े
हुए अजधक्मण स े पहल े दकया गया ह ै या करने का लोप दकया गया ह,ै 15 अगस्ट्त , 2024 तक की अवजध के जलए
पयाावरण राहत जनजध स्ट् कीम, 2008 के अधीन जनजध प्रबंधक के रूप म ें यूनाइटेड इंजडया इंश् यारेंस कंपनी जलजमटेड को
पुन: जनुयक्त करती ह।ै

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th January, 2020
G.S.R. 34(E).—Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 7A of the Public Liability
Insurance Act, 1991 (6 of 1991), the Central Government in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests
vide notification number GSR 768(E), dated the 4th November, 2008, notified a scheme, namely, the
Environment Relief Fund Scheme, 2008;
And whereas, sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 4 of the Environment Relief Fund Scheme, 2008 provided
that the United India Insurance Company Limited shall be the Fund Manager of the said scheme for a period of
five years from the date of notification of the said scheme;
And whereas, the five year term of the said Fund Manager expired on 3rd November, 2013;
And whereas, the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests vide a
notification number G.S.R. 497 (E), dated the 10th July, 2014, the Central Government reappointed the United

And whereas, the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change vide
notification number S.O. 287 (E), dated the 30th January, 2015, the Central Government reappointed the United
India Insurance Company Limited as a Fund Manager for a further period upto 30th June, 2015;
And whereas, the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change vide
notification number S.O. 1878 (E), dated the 13th July, 2015, the Central Government reappointed the United
India Insurance Company Limited as a Fund Manager for a further period upto 31st December, 2015;
And whereas, the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change by an
amendment to notification number S.O. 256 (E), dated the 27th January, 2016, extended the tenure of Fund
Manager for a further period upto 31st March, 2016;
And whereas, the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change vide
notification number GSR 606 (E), dated the 16th June, 2016, the Central Government reappointed the United
India Insurance Company Limited as a Fund Manager for a further period upto 31st March, 2019;
And whereas, the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change vide
notification number GSR 419 (E), dated the 13th June, 2019 extended the tenure of Fund Manager for a further
period upto 30th June, 2019 ;
And whereas, the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change vide
notification number GSR 538 (E), dated the 31st July, 2019, extended the tenure of Fund Manager for a further
period upto 15th August, 2019;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 4 of the Environment Relief Fund
Scheme, 2008, and in supersession of notification number G.S.R. 606(E), dated the 16th June, 2016, except as
respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby reappoints
the United India Insurance Company Limited as a Fund Manager under the Environment Relief Fund Scheme,
2008, for a period upto 15th August, 2024.
