New Delhi, the 26th June, 2019
S.O. 2126(E).—Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Metro
Railways (Construction of Works) Act, 1978 (33 of 1978), (herein after referred to as the said Act), the Central
Government had extended the application of the provisions of the said Act to the Mumbai Metropolitan Area in the State
of Maharashtra vide notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Urban Development number
S.O. 2625 (E), dated the 16th October, 2009.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 32 of the said Act,
the Central Government hereby adds to the Schedule of the said Act, the following metro alignment of Mumbai Metro
Line-5, Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan in respect of the metropolitan area of Mumbai namely:-¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(ii)] Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3
