NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 25th October, 2021
S.O. 4447(E).—Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Metro
Railways (Construction of Works) Act, 1978 (33 of 1978), the Central Government, vide its notification number S.O.
2818 (E), dated 19th August, 2020 has extended the provisions of the said Act to the metropolitan area of Surat in the
State of Gujarat.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 32 of the
Metro Railways (Construction of Works) Act, 1978 (33 of 1978), the Central Government hereby adds to the
Schedule of the said Act, the following metro alignment in respect of the metropolitan area of Surat, namely:-
