NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd August, 2021
S.O. 3134(E).—Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that it is necessary in the public
interest that for the transportation of Natural Gas, a pipeline ―Ennore- Thiruvallur -Bengaluru -Puducherry -
Nagapattinam –Madurai- Tuticorin‖ should be laid in the State of Tamil Nadu by Indian Oil Corporation
Limited.
And whereas, it appears to the Central Government that for the purpose of laying such pipeline, it
is necessary to acquire the right of user in land under which the said pipeline is proposed to be laid and
which is described in the Schedule annexed hereto;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Petroleum
and Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962), the Central
Government hereby declares its intention to acquire the right of user therein;
Any person interested in the land described in the said schedule may, within twenty one days from
the date on which copies of the Gazette of India containing this notification are made available to the
general public, object in writing to the acquisition of the right of user therein for laying of the pipeline
under the land to Shri J.Kannan, Competent Authority, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Pipelines Division,
No.32, Balaambal Subramanian Street, Behind Collector Office, Vivekanandan Nagar, Villupuram, Tamil
Nadu – 605 602.
