NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 16th December, 2015
S.O. 3507(E).—Whereas, M/s. Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited, had
proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as
the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES at Hill No. 3, Madhurwada
Village, Distt.- Visakhapatnam in the State of Andhra Pradesh;
And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, had notified an area of
36 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number
S.O. 2160(E) dated 28th December, 2006;
And, whereas, M/s. Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited has now proposed
for de-notification of 6.37 hectares at the above Special Economic Zone;
And, whereas, the State Government of Andhra Pradesh has given its “No Objection” to the proposal
vide letter No. 416/ITE&C/IT Prom/2015, dated 13th July, 2015;
And, whereas, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has
recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 6.37 hectares of the Special Economic Zone;
Now, whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of
section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4
of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones
Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 6.37 hectares from survey No. 410,
thereby making resultant area as 29.63 hectares.
