NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st May, 2018
S.O. 2294(E).—Whereas, M/s. Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd, a State Government
organization, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred
to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information
technology enabled services at Village Pantheerankavu and Nellikode, Taluka Kozhikode, District Kozhikode in the
State of Kerala;
And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of
the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006, had notified areas of 10.1210 hectares, 1.5637
hectares and 0.4143 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification
numbers S.O. 1217(E) dated 27th May, 2011, S.O. No. 1222 (E) dated 14th May, 2013 and S.O. 2473(E) dated
12th August, 2013 respectively;
AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd has now proposed for de-
notification of 0.2832 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Kerala has given its approval to the proposal vide letter dated
3rd May, 2018;
AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommended the
proposal for de-notification of an area of 0.2832 hectares of the Special Economic Zone;
NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3
of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of
the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the
Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 0.2832 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 11.8158 hectares,
