NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th January, 2020
S.O. 566(E).— Whereas, M/s. Larsen & Toubro Limited had proposed under section 3 of the Special
Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific
Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services (IT/ITES)
at KIADB, Industrial Area, Taluka Hebbel-Hootagally, District Mysore in the State of Karnataka;
And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, notified an area of 10
hectares at the above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number
S.O. 2343(E) dated 27th September, 2010;
AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Larsen & Toubro Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 0.15
hectares from the above Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Karnataka has given its approval to the proposal vide
letter No. CI 29 SPI 2018 dated 16.07.2019;
AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin, SEZ has recommended the proposal for
de-notification of an area of 0.15 hectares of the Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of
section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of
section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones
Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 0.15 hectares, thereby making the
resultant area as 9.85 hectares, comprising the Survey numbers and the areas given below in the table,
