NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th November, 2017
S.O. 3701(E).—WHEREAS, M/s. Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Limited had
proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as
the said Act), to set up a Sector Specific SEZ for Handicrafts at Lalpur-Gangwari Village, Tehsil- Bilari,
Moradabad District, in the State of Uttar Pradesh;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
Section 4 of the said Act read with Rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006, had notified the area of
170.605 hectares at above location as Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry
Notification numbers S.O. 1141 (E) dated 30th September, 2003.
AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Limited proposed for
conversion of existing Handicraft SEZ to three Sector Specific SEZs for Textile & its Broad Banded
products, Broad Banded IT/ITES/ Electronic Components & Hardware Manufacturing and Handicrafts Broad
Banded with Engineering Sector and Central Government has granted Letter of Approval on 16th June, 2016
& 09th August, 2016.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1)
of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic
Zones Rules, 2006, hereby re-notifies the above SEZ into three different SEZs comprising Survey Numbers
and area given below in the table, namely:-
