ORDER
New Delhi, the 16th November, 2018
In re: Appeal under Section 11 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951 for removal
of disqualification imposed under Section 10A of the said Act of Shri Rajaram Dodolla, a
contesting candidate from 11-Armoor Legislative Assembly Constituency at the General
Election to Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh, 2014.
O.N. 74(E).—Whereas; Shri Rajaram Dodolla, a contesting candidate from 11-Armoor Legislative
Assembly Constituency in the State of Telangana, during General Election to the Legislative Assembly of
erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, 2014, had been disqualified under Section-10A of the Representation of the People
Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), for failure to lodge the account of his election expenses in the manner required by
law, vide Commission’s Notification No. 76/TEL-LA/2014, dated 13th April, 2017; and
Whereas; after receipt of the Commission’s disqualification Notification dated 13th April, 2017, Shri
Rajaram Dodolla has presented an appeal dated 8th November, 2018, under Section-11 of the aforesaid Act,
along with the relevant documents, for removal of disqualification imposed upon him vide Commission’s
aforesaid notification, and
Whereas, after considering all the material facts brought to the notice, the Appellate Authority is of
the view that there are sufficient reasons that explained his failure to lodge the account of election expenses in
the time and manner required by law and hence, in view of the submission made by the appellant, the
Appellate Authority, after taking a lenient view, has decided to reduce the period of disqualification imposed
on him, under section 10A of the R.P. Act, 1951 vide Commission’s Notification No. 76/TEL-LA/2014, dated
13th April, 2017.
Now; therefore, it is hereby decided by the Competent Authority, that the disqualification imposed
on Shri Rajaram Dodolla, Under Section 10A, vide Election Commission of India’s Notification dated 13th
April, 2017, shall stand removed from the date of this order. Consequently, the name of Shri Rajaram Dodolla
appearing at Serial No. 01 in the Commission’s Notification No. 76/TEL-LA/2014, dated 13th April, 2017,
shall be deemed to have been deleted from the said Notification, with effect from date of this order.
