NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 8th May, 2025
S.O. 2061(E).—Whereas the Central Government in the erstwhile Ministry of Urban Development by a
notification vide number S.O. 2731(E), dated the 20th October, 2014, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary,
Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 21st October ,2014, added the metro alignment of Nagpur Metro Rail Project
in the Schedule of the Metro Railways (Construction of Works) Act, 1978 (33 of 1978) hereinafter referred to as the
said Act);
And whereas the Central Government in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs by a notification vide
number S.O. 3915(E), dated the 29th August, 2023, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3,
Sub-section (ii), dated the 5th September, 2023, added the metro alignment of Nagpur Metro Rail Project Phase-II in the
Schedule of the said Act;
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that further alteration is necessary for the construction
and maintenance of the Metro Railways to which this alignment relates.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 32 of the said
Act, the Central Government hereby makes the amendments in the notifications specified in column (2) of the table
below, to the extent specified in the entries in column (3) of the said table, namely: —
