Short title and commencement :- (1) These rules may be called the Central Motor Vehicles (Ninth Amendment) Rules, 2017. (2)They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, in rule 77, in sub-rule (1), in clause (ii), for the words “with yellow background, the registration mark and the number being in black”, the words “with deep blue background, the registration mark and the number being in yellow” shall be substituted.
