संशोधन करने के िलए िन(cid:11)न िलिखत िनयम बनाती हL, अथा9त ्:-
1. (1) इन िनयमH का सिं &E नाम के(cid:15)(cid:16)ीय मोटर यान (तरे हवा ंसंशोधन) िनयम, 2017 ह ै।
(2) ये राजप, म 4अपने (cid:23)काशन क# तारीख से दो मास पPात ्(cid:23)वNृ हHगे ।
2. मोटर यान िनयम, 1989 म 4 अतं म4 िनयम, 128 म 4 पहल े परंतुक के पPात् िनSिलिखत परंतकु अतं ः1थािपत (cid:4)कया
जाएगा, अथा9त ्:-
''परंतु यह और (cid:4)क इस िनयम के उपबंध पय़9टक बसH के िलए लागू नहD हHगे जो एआईएस : 52, एआईएस: 119 या
एआईएस: 139 के उपबंधH के अनुपालन करती हH ।''।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th November, 2017
G.S.R. 1462(E).—Whereas the draft of certain rules further to amend the Central Motor Vehicles
Rules, 1989, were published, as required under sub-section (1) of section 212 of the Motor Vehicles
Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways number G.S.R. 1117 (E), dated the 29th August, 2017 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary,
Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected
thereby, before the expiry of the period of thirty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette
containing the said notification were made available to public;
AND, whereas, copies of the said Gazette notification were made available to the public on the
29th August, 2017;
AND, whereas, objections and suggestions received from the public in respect of the said draft
rules have been considered by the Central Government;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (9) and (14) of section 88 and
section 110 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), the Central Government hereby makes the
following rules further to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, namely: —
1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Motor Vehicles (Thirteenth Amendment) Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on and after two months from the date of their publication in the
Official Gazette.
2. In the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989 in rule 128 at the end, after first proviso, the following
proviso shall be inserted namelyÑÑÑÑ
“Provided further that provisions of this rule shall not apply to tourist buses which comply with the
provisions of AIS:52, AIS:119 or AIS:139.” .
