(1) संजिप् त नाम और प्रारम् भ – (1) इन जनयमो का संजिप् त नाम केन्‍द रीय मोटरयान (सत्रहवााँ संिोधन) जनयम 2020 ह ै। 5269 GI/2020 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] (2) य ेरािपत्र म े उनके प्रकािन की तारीख स े प्रवृत् त होगे । 2. केन्‍द रीय मोटर यान जनयम 1989 (जिसे इसम े इसके पश् चात उक्त जनयम कहा ं गया ह)ै जनयम 76 के उपजनयम (8) म ें "तथाजप, वे एक समान फॉन्‍द ट और रंग म े (अथागत काल े रंग की पृ्‍ठ भूजम पर सफेि रंग संख् याए और अिर) लेदकन उनके वाहनो के अजधकतम िो पर पंिीकरण संख् या छोटे अिरों म ें सीसी (मानि) के बाि ििे के नाम िब् िों का उपयोग कर सकते ह”ै जनम्न जलजखत िब् िों और को्‍ठ कों का लोप दकया िाएगा । 3. उक्त जनयम के जनयम 76क म ेंखंड (क) और (ख) के स्ट् थान पर जनम्न जलजखत खंडो को रखा िाएगा, अथातग :- “(क) उपजनयम (6) म ें “सीडी” अिर के स्ट् थान पर संयुक् त रा्‍र संघ और उसकी एिेजन्‍द सयों की ििा में “यूएन” अिरों और अंतराष्ट्रग ीय संघ और अन्‍दय एिेजन्‍दसयों की ििा म ें“आई ओ डी” अिर रख े िाएंग;े और (ख) उपजनयम (7) म,ें “सीसी” अिरों के स्ट्थ ान पर संयुक् त रा्‍र संघ और उसकी एिेजन्‍द सयों की ििा में “यूएन” अिरों और अंतराष्ट्रग ीय संघ और अन्‍दय एिेजन्‍दसयों की ििा म ें“आई ओ सी” अिर रख े िाएंगे । [फा. स.ं आरटी-11028/04/2019-एमवीएल] जप्रयांक भारती, संयक्ु त सजचव रटप्प ण : मूल जनयम अजधसूचना संख्याक सा.का.जन. 590(अ) तारीख 20 िनू , 1989 द्वारा भारत के रािपत्र, असाधारण, भाग II, खंड 3, उपखडं (i) म ें प्रकाजित दकए गय े थ े और अजधसूचना संख् याक सा.का.जन. 673 (अ) तारीख 27 अक्तूबर 2020 द्वारा अजन्‍द तम रूप स े संिोजधत दकए गए थ े। MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th October, 2020 G.S.R. 682(E). –Whereas, the draft rules further to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, was published as required under sub-section (1) of section 212 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988(59 of 1988) vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road transport and Highways number G.S.R. 177 ( E) dated the 16th March, 2020, in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within a period of thirty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public; And whereas, copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public on the 16th march, 2020; And whereas, objections and suggestions received from the public in respect of the said draft rules have been duly considered by the Central Government; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 ( 59 of 1988), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, namely:- 1. (1) Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Central Motor Vehicles (Seventeenth Amendment) Rules, 2020. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. In the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 76, in sub-rule (8), the following words and brackets “They may, however, use the word "name of the country followed by CC (Honorary)" in the same font and colour (i.e., the numbers and letters in white colour on black background) but in letters smaller than the registration number on a maximum of two of their vehicles.” shall be omitted.[भाग II—खण् ड 3(i)] भारत का रािपत्र : असाधारण 3 3. In the said rules, in rule 76A, for the clauses (a) and (b) the following clauses shall be substituted, namely:- “(a) in sub-rule (6), for the letters “CD”, the letters “UN” in case of United Nations Organizations and its agencies and the letters “IOD” in case of International Organization and other agencies shall be substituted; and (b) in sub-rule (7), for the letters “CC”, the letters “UN” shall be substituted in case of United Nations Organization and its agencies and the letters “IOC” in case of International Organization and other agencies shall be substituted”.
