1.(cid:32) (1) इन िनयम(cid:7298) का संि(cid:6979)(cid:7009) त नाम क(cid:7286)(cid:7076)ीय मोटरयान िनयम (13 व(cid:7292) संशोधन) िनयम 2016 ह ै।
(2) य े राजप(cid:7074) म(cid:7286) उनके अंितम (cid:7079)काशन क(cid:7409) तारीख को (cid:7079)वृ(cid:7004) त ह(cid:7298)गे ।
2.(cid:32) के(cid:7008) (cid:7076)ीय मोटर यान िनयम, 1989, के िनयम 125ड. म(cid:7286),-
(i) उपिनयम (3) के (cid:7021)थान पर, िन(cid:7388)िलिखत उपिनयम रखा जाएगा, अथा(cid:6981)त:्--
''(3) पश(cid:7312)ु के वहन के िलए रखे गए (cid:7408)कसी मोटरयान को पश(cid:7312)ु का वहन करत ेसमय, अ(cid:7008)य माल के वहन के
िलए अनु(cid:6980)ात नह(cid:7277) (cid:7408)कया जाएगा " ;

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 23rd September, 2016
G.S.R. 904(E).—Whereas the draft rules further to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989,
were published, as required under sub-section (1) of section 212 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of
1988), vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways number
G.S.R. 621 (E), dated the 23rd June, 2016 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-
section (i) inviting objections and suggestions from affected persons before the expiry of the period of thirty
days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to
public;
Whereas, copies of the said Gazette notification were made available to the public on the 23rd June,
2016;
And whereas, the objections and suggestions received from the public in respect of the said draft rules
have been considered by the Central Government;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 110 of
the Motor Vehicles Act, (59 of 1988), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to
amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, namely: —
1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Motor Vehicles (13th Amendment) Rules, 2016.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, in rule 125E,-
(i) for sub-rule (3), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:-
“ (3) No motor vehicles meant for carrying animals shall be permitted to carry any other
goods, while carrying animals.”;
(ii) after sub- rule (4), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
“Provided that nothing in this rule shall apply to a vehicle carrying livestock belonging to
farmers.”.
