NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 7th September, 2016
O.N. 33(E).—Whereas, the Election Commission, in consultation with the State Government,
appointed the District Election Officers of Uttar Pradesh State vide its notification No. 508/UP/2008, dated
12th June, 2008, appointing, interalia, District Officer, Sant Ravidas Nagar as District Election Officer, Sant
Ravidas Nagar; and
Whereas, the Chief Election Officer, Uttar Pradesh has vide his letter dated 31st August, 2016
intimated that the Uttar Pradesh Administration Revenue Section-5 vide its notification dated 15.01.2015 has
changed the name of Sant Ravidas Nagar Bhadohi District to Bhadohi District;
Now, therefore, the Election Commission of India in pursuance of the provisions contained in Section
13AA of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950) directs that the words ‘Sant Ravidas Nagar’
shall be read as ‘Bhadohi’ in the entry at Sl.No. 69 of the Commission’s Notification of even number dated
12th June, 2008 with retrospective effect i.e. from 15.01.2015.
