ORDER
New Delhi, the 3rd April, 2018
S.O. 1493(E).—Whereas the Joint Secretary to the Government of India, specially empowered
under sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of
Smuggling Activities Act, 1974 (52 of 1974) issued order No. PD-12002/02/2018-COFEPOSA dated
21.02.2018 under the said sub-section directing that Shri Sat Prakash Soni @ Sonu, S/o Shri Jagdish
Prasad Soni, R/o B-135, Duggal Colony, Deoli Road, Khanpur, New Delhi -110062, be detained and
kept in Central Jail, Tihar, New Delhi with a view to preventing him from abetting goods, keeping
smuggled goods and dealing in smuggled goods in future.
2. Whereas the Central Government has reasons to believe that the aforesaid person has absconded
or has been concealing himself so that the order cannot be executed.
3. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 7
of the said Act, the Central Government hereby directs the aforesaid person to appear before the
Commissioner of Police, Delhi within 7 days of the publication of this order in the Official Gazette.
