3. अतः, अब, लोक प्रजतजिजधत्र् अजधजियम, 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा 149 की उप-धारा (1) और धारा 30
एर्ं धारा 56 के अिुसरण म,ें भारत जिर्ााचि आयोग एतद्द्वाराः-
(क) किााटक राज्य के उक्त 2-बेलगाम संसिीय जिर्ााचि-क्षेत्र से यह अपेक्षा करता ह ै दक 4 मई, 2021 (मंगलर्ार) स े
पूर्ा तथा उक्त अजधजियम और तद्धीि बिाए गए जियमों और दकए गए आिेिों के उपबंधों के अिुसार, लोक सभा
में उक्त ररजक्त को भरि े के प्रयोििाथा दकसी व्यजक्त को जिर्ााजचत कर दिया िाए; और
(ख) उक्त जिर्ााचि के संबंध म ेंजिम्नजलजखत जियत करता हःै -
(क) 30.03.2021 (मंगलर्ार) को िाम-जििेिि करिे की अंजतम तारीख
(ख) 31.03.2021 (बुधर्ार) को िाम-जििेििों की संर्ीक्षा की तारीख
(ग) 03.04.2021 (िजिर्ार) को अभ्यर्थाताए ंर्ापस लिे े की अंजतम तारीख
(घ) 17.04.2021 (िजिर्ार) र्ह तारीख, जिसको यदि आर्श्यक हुआ तो मतिाि होगा; और

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi 23rd March, 2021
O.N. 18(E).—WHEREAS, the seat of Shri Suresh C. Angadi, in the House of People elected from
02-Belgaum Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Karnataka, has become vacant on 23rd September,
2020, by reason of his death; and
2. WHEREAS, a bye-election is to be held for the purpose of filling the said vacancy;
3. NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 149 and sections 30 and 56 of
the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission of India hereby-
(A) calls upon the said 02-Belgaum Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Karnataka, to elect,
before the 4th May, 2021 (Tuesday) and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules
and orders made thereunder, a person for the purpose of filling the said vacancy in the said House of the
People,
(B) appoints, with respect to the said election:-
(a) the 30th March, 2021 (Tuesday), as the last date for making nominations;
(b) the 31st March, 2021 (Wednesday), as the date for the Scrutiny of nominations;
(c) the 3rd April, 2021 (Saturday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 17th April, 2021 (Saturday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
(e) the 4th May, 2021 (Tuesday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and
(C) fixes the hours from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., as the hours during which the poll shall, if
necessary, be taken on the date specified above for the election.
