MY Bharat Rolls Out Tiered Rewards and Ministerial Meets for Active Youth

Active volunteering on the government's Mera Yuva Bharat portal can now earn young citizens everything from digital hall-of-fame entries to one-on-one meetings with Union ministers. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has operationalised a Points, Rewards, and Recognition system designed to turn volunteer hours, civic engagement, and experiential learning into tangible leadership incentives.

Under the tiered framework, participants unlock an official letter of recognition from the MY Bharat division upon hitting 1,000 points. Milestones scale progressively with public spotlights on official channels at 2,500 points, placement in an online Digital Hall of Fame at 5,000 points, and curated hardbound books—including signed editions of William Dalrymple's The Golden Road and DK's Treasures of India—between the 7,500 and 20,000 point tiers.

The highest milestones emphasize executive leadership access. Youth who accumulate 50,000 points will secure an audience with the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, while those reaching 1,00,000 points will meet Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue. Felicitations for these top two tiers are scheduled to commence in October 2027 following central verification.
