The Procurement (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2026

The Minister for the Cabinet Office makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by
section 122(3)(d) and 127(2) of the Procurement Act 2023(1).
Citation, commencement and extent
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Procurement (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations
2026.
(2) These Regulations come into force on the day after the day on which these Regulations are
made.
(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Amendment to the Procurement (Amendment) Regulations 2026
2. In regulation 1(4) (citation and commencement) of the Procurement (Amendment)
Regulations 2026(2), for “1st October 2026”, substitute “1st May 2027”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Procurement (Amendment) Regulations 2026 to defer the coming
into force of regulation 5 of those Regulations from 1st October 2026 to 1st May 2027. Regulation
5 of those Regulations amends regulation 5 of the Procurement Act 2023 (Commencement
No. 3 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) Regulations 2024(3), which makes provision about
discontinuing publication on Contracts Finder(4) or, where relevant, replacing it with publication
on the central digital platform(5).
