This document is a Decision of the EEA Joint Committee (No. 143/2023) issued on April 28, 2023, amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement. The decision incorporates two Commission Regulations into the EEA Agreement: Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/851, which corrects the Portuguese language version of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945 regarding unmanned aircraft systems and third-country operators of such systems, and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/844, which corrects the Swedish language version of Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 laying down technical requirements and administrative procedures related to civil aviation aircrew. The authentic Icelandic and Norwegian language texts of the incorporated regulations will be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union. The Decision entered into force on April 29, 2023, contingent upon the fulfillment of Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement or the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 115/2023, whichever is later. The Decision will be published in the EEA Section of, and the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.

amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement [2023/2404]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98
thereof,
Whereas:
(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/851 of 22 March 2022correcting the Portuguese language version of
Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945 on unmanned aircraft systems and on third-country operators of unmanned
aircraft systems(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(2) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/844 of 30 May 2022correcting the Swedish language version of
Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 laying down technical requirements and administrative procedures related to civil
aviation aircrew pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 216/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council(2)is to
be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(3) Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:
1. The following indent is added in point 66ne (Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011):
‘— 32022 R 0844: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/844 of 30 May 2022(OJ L 148, 31.5.2022,
p. 24).’
2. The following indent is added in point 66zbb (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945):
‘— 32022 R 0851: Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/851 of 22 March 2022 (OJ L 150, 1.6.2022,
p. 21).’
Article 2
The texts of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/851 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/844 in the Icelandic and
Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 29 April 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA
Agreement have been made*, or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 115/2023
of 28 April 2023(3), whichever is the later.
