The 4th National Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) Sports Meet 2025 concluded in Rourkela at the Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium on November 16, 2025, coinciding with Bhagwan Birsa Munda Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. The meet was hosted by the Odisha Model Tribal Education Society (OMTES) under the ST & SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Odisha and organized by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha, served as the Chief Guest, and Shri Jual Oram, Hon'ble Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, was the Guest of Honour. Shri Ajeet Kumar Srivastava, Commissioner, NESTS, and Shri B. Parameswaran, IAS, Secretary, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department, Odisha, were also present. Other attendees included Dr. Subhankar Mohapatra, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate, Sundargarh, Ms. Dutee Chand, International Sprinter, and Hon'ble MLAs from the Sundargarh region. Telangana emerged as the Overall Sports Champion with 230 medals and 714 points. In the overall sports champion category, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh secured the second and third position with 162 medals (468 points) and 151 medals (409 points), respectively. In individual events, Telangana won 221 medals (679 points), Chhattisgarh won 159 medals (461 points), and Madhya Pradesh won 148 medals (402 points). In team events, Telangana won 9 medals (35 points), Odisha won 8 medals (26 points), and Andhra Pradesh won 5 medals (13 points). The event ended with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Subhankar Mohapatra, Collector & DM, Sundargarh.

The 4th National Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) Sports Meet 2025 concluded with
grandeur and patriotic fervour today at the Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium, Rourkela, coinciding
with the nationwide celebration of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. The event paid
tribute to the valour and sacrifice of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and celebrated the rich legacy of India’s
tribal freedom movement.
The Sports Meet was hosted by the Odisha Model Tribal Education Society (OMTES) under the
ST & SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of
Odisha, and organised by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) under the
