No. MTS-0319/C.R.245/Pol-4 .—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of section 5
of the Maharashtra Police Act (XXII of 1951) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the
Government of Maharashtra hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Maharashtra
Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Driver, Police Head Constable Driver, Police Naik Driver and Police
Constable Driver (Recruitment) Rules, 2019, namely :–
1. These rules may be called the Maharashtra Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Driver, Police Head
Constable Driver, Police Naik Driver and Police Constable Driver (Recruitment) (First Amendment)
Rules, 2025.
2. In rule 6 of the Maharashtra Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Driver, Police Head Constable
Driver, Police Naik Driver and Police Constable Driver (Recruitment) Rules, 2019, in sub-rule (1),
in clause (A), after the proviso, the following proviso shall be added, namely :–
“ Provided further that, the candidates of all categories who have crossed the upper age limit
during the period commencing from the 1st January 2022 and ending on the 31st December 2025
shall be eligible for recruitment process to be conducted for filling up vacancies of the calendar year
2024 and 2025 for the said post by selection, as one-time measure ”.
