ACCESS TO e-KYC SETU PLATFORM EXTENDED TO REs IN GIFT IFSC
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has developed an e-KYC Setu system
that allows entities to seamlessly execute secure, Aadhaar-based digital identity
verifications.
In a major step forward for digital onboarding of clients, access to the e-KYC Setu
platform for all Regulated Entities (REs) operating within the International Financial
Services Centre (IFSC) at GIFT City has been enabled.
By leveraging this single-window onboarding interface, REs can now validate client’s
Aadhaar information. This directly enhances the efficiency of operational protocols while
eliminating the need to physically store or process client’s sensitive information like
Aadhaar card numbers.
