Addendum-I to the DGS Circular No. 04 of 2022 dated 15.02.2022 - Constitution of the Port Facility Security Advisory Committee (PFSAC) of the Major and Non-Major Ports
DGS Circular No. 24 of 2022, dated 16.12.2022, is an addendum to DGS Circular No. 4 of 2022, dated 15.02.2022, regarding the constitution of the Port Facility Security Advisory Committee (PFSAC) of major and non-major ports. The PFSAC includes representatives from various departments and agencies, including the Port Facility Security Officer, Customs Department, Narcotics Control Bureau, Central Intelligence Agencies, State Intelligence Agencies, Central Industrial Security Forces, Local Police, Immigration Department, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and any other concerned agency of the Government. As per directive from the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), State Maritime Security Coordinators (SMSCs) are now included as members of the PFSACs. The circular is issued with the approval of the Director General of Shipping and Additional Secretary to the Government of India. In view of the directive from the National Security council Secretariat (NSCS), the
Directorate has reviewed the DGS NT wing circular 4 of 2022 dated 15.02.2022, and has
decided to include State Maritime security coordinators (SMSCs) as members of pFSACs.
