Procedures for Pilot Remote Competency Examination
1. Whereas vide DGS Order 33 of 2021dated 26.10.2021, the Directorate
conveyed its intent to stakeholders and readiness to start Remote Competence
Examination and has decided to conduct a pilot examination serving both the
purpose of trials as well as award of results towards the competence
examinations.
z. Whereas the said DGS Order specified that, the dates for practice and pilot
examinations shall be declared.
3. The purpose of this Order is to provide detailed procedures for:

Registration on e-examination system.
3.2
Booking for Remote Pilot Examinations.
3.3 Booking for pilot examination:pilot Exams will be conducted for
the paper "Terrestrial & Coastal Navigation" for 2nd Mates
Nautical and "Marine Engineering Practice" for MEO Class IV -
Engineering.
3.4 Procedure for booking of seats will be as per existing DGS
procedures. Candidates opting for remote digital written
examination by proctoring need to immediately book their seats by
clicking on "www.e-examinations.in"
