No. 1/16/2020-Judl./P.F. -1/Suptlaw/1705-1710.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution read with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affair’s Notification No.F.1/2/70/DH(S), dated the 29th May, 1970 as amended by Notification No.F.1/2/70-DH(S), dated the 25th July, 1970 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Lieutenant Governor of National Captial Territory of Delhi in consultation with the High Court of Delhi is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Delhi Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1970, namely:— 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Higher Judicial Service (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Rule 18:- In the Delhi Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1970, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) in place of existing Rule 18, the following shall be substituted, namely : - 18. The pay scales of the Service shall be as follows:- 1. District Judges Entry level Time Scale (J-5) Rs. 144840-194660 2. Selection Grade [limited to 35% of cadre posts of (J-6) Rs.163030- 219090 District Judges Entry level Time Scale and will be given to those having not less than five years of continuous service in the cadre on assessment of merit-cum-seniority] 3. District Judges (Super time scale) (This scale would also (J-7) Rs.199100-224100 be available to 15% of the cadre strength of District Judges, and would be given to those who have put in not less than three years of continuous service in selection grade on assessment of merit-cum-seniority)4 DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY PART IV] 3.
