NOTIFICATION Delhi, the 12th April, 2022 F. No. 16/17/2020/HP-1/Estt./ 161 to 167.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- sections (1) and (2) of section 147 of Delhi Police Act, 1978 (34 of 1978), the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Delhi Police (Appointment and Recruitment) Rules, 1980, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement: (1) These Rules may be called the Delhi Police (Appointment and Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2022. (2) They shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette. 2. Amendments: In the said Rules, in Rule 17-B-(ix), relating to the post of Fitter (Battery) (Head Constable) in Communication Unit of Delhi Police. (1) For the entry in the column, relating to the “Scale of Pay”, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:- ‘Pay Level in the Pay Matrix’ --- Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100/-) (2) For the entry against the column, relating to the “If a DPC exists, what is its composition”, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:- ‘Departmental Promotion Committee’ (for considering promotion) consisting of:- (i) One Joint Commissioner of Police (Chairman)[PART IV DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY 3 (ii) Two Deputy Commissioners of Police (Members) (To be nominated by the Commissioner of Police, Delhi). ‘Departmental Confirmation Committee’ (for considering confirmation) consisting of:- (i) One Deputy Commissioner of Police (Chairman) (ii) Two Assistant Commissioners of Police (Members) (From the districts/units concerned).
