Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby makes the following amendments in the Delhi Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of service of President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2022, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Delhi Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of service of President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Amendment Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. After thesub section (4) of the section 4 of Delhi Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of service of President and Members of the State Commission) Rules, 2022, the following proviso may be added, “ Any person appointed as President or, as the case may be a member of the State Commission appointed under the provisions of Consumer Protection Act, 1986 shall be entitled to the same salary and allowances payable to the Presidents/Members of the State/District Commissions appointed under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and subsequently Delhi Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of Service of President and Members of State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2022 with effect from the date of appointmentof the incumbents selected under the new Consumer Protection Act, 2019”. 3. After the sub-section (4) of the section 3 ofDelhi Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of service of President and Members of the District Commissions) Rules, 2022, the following proviso may be added, “Any person appointed as President or, as the case may be a member of the District Commission appointed under the provisions of Consumer Protection Act, 1986 shall be entitled to the same salary and allowances payable to the[PART IV DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY 3 Presidents/Members of the State/District Commissions appointed under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and subsequently Delhi Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of Service of President and Members of State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2022 with effect from the date of appointmentof the incumbents selected under the new Consumer Protection Act, 2019.” Note : The Delhi Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of Service of President and Members of State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2022 were published on 07/11/2022 by Delhi Government vide notification no.
