OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Amendment to Procedure for inclusion/updating Wind Turbine Model
in the Approved list of Models and Manufacturers of Wind Turbine-Reg
The undersigned is directed to refer Amendment to Procedure for
inclusion/updating Wind Turbine Model in the Approved list of Models and
Manufacturers of Wind Turbine (ALMM) issued by this Ministry vide OM dated
31.07.2025. In this regard it has been decided to provide some additional time for
compliance of the said amendment with respect to Special Bearings (main Bearings,
Yaw Bearings and Pitch Bearings) considering the supply chain constraints.
Accordingly. para 2(a) and 2(b) of the aforesaid OM dated 31.07.2025 is amended as
below,
2(a) The already bided projects (projects where bids have been closed before
issuance of this OM (i.e dated 31.07.2025), subject to commissioning of the
project within three years of issue of this OM (i.e dated 31.07.2025).
Main Bearings are exempted for compliance under para 4 (h) of the
procedure, for all the Projects already bided or to be bided before
31.07.2027 (i.e. upto 2 years fromn the date of issuance of OM dated
31.07.2025), which will be mandated after a review of the supply chain
scenario post two years.
2(b) The wind powerprojects tob e commissioned within Eighteen Months (from
the date of issuance of this OM (i.e dated 31.07.2025)) under Captive/Open
Access/C&/Third Party sale mode. Additional exemption for compliance
under para 4 (h) of the procedure for as given below
() 1 years for Yaw and Pitch bearings i.e up to 31. 01.2028
(i) 2 years for Main bearing subject to review i.e up to 31.01.2029
2 All other clauses of the OM dated 31.07.2025 remain unchanged.
3 This issues with the approval of competent authority.
