NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 5th August, 2025
G.S.R. 533(E).––In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section 1 (f) of Section 3 of the Major Port
Authorities Act, 2021 and in partial modification of the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Ports,
Shipping & Waterways (PHRD Division) G.S.R. No. 217 (E) dated 19th March, 2024, the Central Government hereby
appoints Shri Tapas Kumar Biswas, 2nd Class Driver, Marine Department in place of Shri Asim Kumar Sutradhar,
General Secretary, National Union of Waterfront Workmen (I) as Member representing the interests of employees on
the Board of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority with immediate effect. The appointment of Member of the
Board shall be subject to the provisions of the Major Port Authorities Act, 2021. The appointment is valid till the date
of validity of check-off, or until the attainment of age of superannuation of the Members, or till further orders,
whichever is earliest.
