As per Office Order No. HH-18/2/2025-Personnel, dated 17.12.2025, Shri Manish Shiva Zole, Deputy Director (PIB), has been appointed as Chief of Media & Communications (CMC) for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), following Ministry of Information and Broadcasting D.O. No. M-20011/10/2025- Press dated 12.11.2025.
The CMC will serve as the single point of contact for all media engagements and information dissemination for MeitY, reporting directly to the Secretary (MeitY) and coordinating with AS/JS/GC of MeitY dealing with Information, Education and Communication (IEC) matters. All divisions of MeitY must route their media plans through the CMC. TA/DA expenditure for official tours and other working arrangements will be covered by MeitY as per entitlement.

No. M-20011/10/2025-Press, dated 12th November 2025, from Sanjay Jaju, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (secy.inb@nic.in), the Ministry of I&B has streamlined communications by appointing a Chief of Media & Communications (CMC) in each Ministry. Key responsibilities of the CMC include leading paid campaigns, coordinating with CBC for media plans, overseeing creative production, crafting and issuing press releases, organizing press conferences, and maintaining media liaison. The CMC will also advise on communication strategies, monitor media coverage, and coordinate inter-agency efforts. Administrative and logistical support is required, along with budget management for IEC activities. The CMC will be assisted by a team and have an office within the client Ministry.
