No. 223/SDM-II(HQ)/Land/2025-Part(2)/(E-312678)/7216-25.—In supersession of all previous notifications, orders or instructions issued under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 relating to the appointment or designation of District Magistrates, Additional District Magistrates and Executive Magistrates in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 14 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (46 of 2023), read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. S.O. 2506(E) dated the 28th June, 2024, the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to appoint the following officers as Executive Magistrates in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, with effect from the date of assumption of charge and so long as they hold the said posts or until further orders, whichever is earlier, namely:— (i) All the Deputy Commissioners of the Districts of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, who shall also be the District Magistrates of their respective Districts; (ii) All the Additional Collectors of the Districts of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, who shall also be the Additional District Magistrates of their respective Districts and shall exercise all the powers of a District Magistrate under the said Sanhita or under any other law for the time being in force; and (iii) All the Revenue Assistants, Tehsildars and Consolidation Officers of the respective Tehsils, Revenue Areas and Headquarters of the Revenue Department, having jurisdiction over their respective Districts, Tehsils, Revenue Areas or Headquarters, as the case may be.
