New Delhi, the 20th August, 2026
S.O. 4638(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Public Premises (Eviction of
Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), the Central Government hereby appoints the
officer mentioned in column (2) of the Table below, being officer of the NTPC Ltd, a CPSE (Central Public
Sector Enterprises) and equivalent to the rank of Gazetted Officer in the Government of India, to be estate
officer for the purposes of the said Act, who shall exercise the powers conferred and perform the duties
imposed on estate officer under the said Act, within the local limits of the jurisdiction in respect of the
categories of public premises specified in column (3) of the said Table, namely:-
