क्षेत्र दिल्ली के सभी रािस्ट्व जिलों पर लाग ूहोगी, िैसा दक समय-समय पर सरकार द्वारा अजधसूजचत दकया िाता ह।ै
जनयुक्त जिला उपयुक्त प्राजधकारी, उक्त अजधजनयम तथा उसके अतगतग बनाए गए जनयमों के अनुसार, अपन-े अपने क्षेत्राजधकार

Delhi, the 10th April, 2026
Subject: Appointment of District Appropriate Authorities under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal
Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994 for the reorganized districts of Delhi.
No. DFW-9034/1/2026-SPO-PCPNDT(DFW)/Prsecyhfw/500-511.— In exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 17 of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques
(Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994 (57 of 1994), read with clause (r) of Section 2 of the said Act, and
in pursuance of the Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. S.O. 3753(E), dated the 2nd September, 2024,
the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby appoints the Deputy Commissioner
of each Revenue District of the National Capital Territory of Delhi as the District Appropriate Authority for
the purposes of the said Act within their respective territorial jurisdictions.
1. The said appointment shall apply to all Revenue Districts of the National Capital Territory of Delhi
as notified by the Government from time to time.
2. The District Appropriate Authorities so appointed shall exercise the powers and perform the duties
assigned to them under the said Act and the rules made thereunder within their respective territorial
jurisdictions.
3. This notification supersedes all earlier notifications issued by the Government of the National Capital
Territory of Delhi regarding the appointment of District Appropriate Authorities for Revenue
Districts.
4. Notwithstanding such supersession, anything done or any action taken under the notifications so
superseded shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this
notification.
5. This notification shall come into force with immediate effect.
