The Ministry of Defence has issued a notification, S.R.O. 18(E), on November 10, 2025, declaring a variation in the constitution of specific Cantonment Boards under Section 13 of the Cantonments Act, 2006. This declaration is made due to the expiry of the term of members in the Cantonment Boards.
The variation will take effect from the dates specified for each board, continuing for one year or until the boards are reconstituted under Section 12 of the Act, whichever is earlier.
The Cantonment Boards affected are:
1. Pachmarhi: Expiry Date - 29.11.2025, Effective Date of Variation - 30.11.2025
2. Badamibagh: Expiry Date - 02.12.2025, Effective Date of Variation - 03.12.2025
3. Jammu: Expiry Date - 02.12.2025, Effective Date of Variation - 03.12.2025
4. Ramgarh: Expiry Date - 02.12.2025, Effective Date of Variation - 03.12.2025
5. Meerut: Expiry Date - 12.01.2026, Effective Date of Variation - 13.01.2026

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 10th November, 2025
S.R.O. 18(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) and sub-section (4) of
section 13 of the Cantonments Act, 2006 (41 of 2006), the Central Government, on being satisfied that for the
administration of the certain Cantonments, it is desirable to vary the constitution of the Cantonment Boards relating
thereto where the term of the members shall expire on date indicated in column (3) of the table given below, hereby
makes a declaration to vary the constitution of the Cantonment Boards specified in the table given below with effect
from the date mentioned in column (4) thereof for a period of one year or till such time the said Boards are constituted
under Section 12 of the said Act, whichever is earlier:
