F.No RD-Cens/1/2025-Census-REVENUE /Department/936.—Exercise of the powers conferred by the
sub-section (2) of section 4 of the Census Act 1948 (37 OF 1948) read with Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs
notification No. 2/1/60-Judi.11 dated the 20th April, 1960, the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory
of Delhi is pleased to appoint the authorities mentioned in column 2 of the Scheduled given below, as Census Officers
as designated in column 3 and within the areas specified against each in column 4 of the said schedule to take, or aid
in, or supervise the taking of, the Pre-Test of 2027 Census Operations in the National Capital Territory of Delhi:-

2. In exercise of the powers under sub-section (4) of the section 4 of the said Act, the Lieutenant Governor of the
National Capital Territory of Delhi is further pleased to delegate to the authorities named in paragraph 1, the powers
of appointing of Census Officer in respect of the areas within their respective jurisdictions.
3. In exercise of the powers under sub-section (3) of the section 4 of the said Act, the Lieutenant Governor is also
pleased to authorize the authorities named in paragraph 1 to sign a declaration in writing that any person has been duly
appointed a Census Officer by him for any area under their respective jurisdictions.
