का.आ. 1964(अ).— केंद्रीय सरकार, लोक प्रजत जनजधत्ि अजधजनयम, 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा 60 के खंड

का और संिोधन करन े के जलए जनम्नजलजखत जनयम बनाती ह,ै अथाात ् :—
1. (1) इन जनयमों का संजिप्त नाम जनिााचनों का संचालन (संिोधन) जनयम, 2020 ह ै।
(2) य ेरािपत्र में उनके प्रकािन की तारीख को प्रिृत्त होंग े।
2. जनिााचनों का संचालन जनयम, 1961 के जनयम 27क म,ें -
(i) “या ददव्ांग व्जियों” िब्दों के पश्चात ् “या कोजिड 19 का संदेह होन े िाल े या उससे प्रभाजित व्जियों” िब्द
और अंक अंत:स्ट्थाजपत दकए िाएंगे ;
(ii) खंड (ङ) म,ें “80 िर्ा” अंक और िब्द के स्ट्थान पर, “65 िर्ा” अंक और िब्द रख ेिाएंग े;
(iii) खंड (ङ) के पश्चात् जनम्नजलजखत खंड अंत:स्ट्थाजपत दकया िाएगा, अथाात ् :--
‘(च) “कोजिड 19 का संदेह होन े िाले या उससे प्रभाजित व्जि” से ऐसे जनिााचक अजभप्रेत ह,ैं—

(i) जिनकी दकसी सरकारी अस्ट्पताल या कोजिड अस्ट्पताल के रूप में सरकार द्वारा
मान्यताप्राप्त अस्ट्पताल द्वारा कोजिड 19 से ग्रस्ट्त के रूप में िांच की गई ह ै ; या
(ii) िो कोजिड 19 के कारण गृह करंतीन या सांस्ट्थाजनक करंतीन के अधीन ह ैं और जिन्ह ें
ऐसे सिम प्राजधकारी द्वारा िो दक राज्य सरकार या संघ राज्यिेत्र प्रिासन द्वारा
अजधसूजचत दकया िाए, प्रमाजणत दकया गया ह ै।’।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 19th June, 2020
S.O. 1964 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of section 60 of the Representation of the
People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Central Government, after consulting the Election Commission, hereby makes the
following rules further to amend the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961, namely:––
1. (1) These rules may be called the Conduct of Elections (Amendment) Rules, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961, in rule 27A ,––
(i) in clause (aa), after the words ―or persons with disability‖ occurring at the end, the words, letters and figures ―or
the COVID 19 suspect or affected persons‖ shall be inserted;
(ii) in clause (e), for the figures and word ―80 years”, the figures and word ―65 years‖ shall be substituted ;
(iii) after clause (e), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:––
‗(f) ― COVID 19 suspect or affected persons‖ means the electors who are––
(i) tested as COVID 19 positive by the Government Hospital or the Hospital recognised by the
Government as COVID Hospital; or
(ii) under home quarantine or institutional quarantine due to COVID 19, and certified by such
competent authority, as may be notified by the State Government or Union territory
Administration.‘.
