In exercise of the powers conferred by Regulation 5 of Chennai Port Trust Employees' (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2008, the Board of Chennai Port Authority has approved the following Resolutions on the amendments proposed to the existing Recruitment Rules as detailed below: Sl.No. Amendment proposed Board Resolution and Date (1) (2) (3) 1 Column (9) in the existing Recruitment Rule of Hindi B.R. 95, dated 27.09.2024 Translator in General Administration Department 2 Column (11) in the existing Recruitment Rule of B.R. 79, dated 27.09.2024 Tally Clerk in the Cargo Handling Division under Traffic Department In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 72 (2)(c) of Major Port Authorities Act, 2021 (1 of 2021), under Schedule-II of the Chennai Port Trust Employees' (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulation 2008, the following amendments made to the existing Recruitment Rules for the posts of Hindi Translator in General Administration Department and Tally Clerk in the Cargo Handling Division under Traffic Department are cause for publication. Amendments 1. General Administration Department: (i) In the said Schedule-II, under said Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Hindi Translator (Class III) [Sl. No. 14] in General Administration Department, in column 9, the following shall be substituted: In column 9, for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted namely:- “(a) No (b) Yes (c) Not Applicable” 2. Traffic Department: (i) In the said Schedule-II, under said Regulations, the Recruitment Rules for the post of Tally Clerk (Class III) [Sl. No. 23] in the Cargo Handling Division under Traffic Department, in column 11, the following shall be substituted: In column 11, for the entries, the following entries shall be substituted namely:- (a) By Promotion failing which by Direct Recruitment through written test from amongst the employees of Chennai Port Authority whose scale of pay is equivalent to or lower than Rs.25200-59600. (b) Failing which by Direct Recruitment from open market through written test.
