Ministry of Defence Chief of Defence Staff Extends Greetings on 93rd Indian Air Force Day Posted On: 08 OCT 2025 5:20PM by PIB Delhi rd On the occasion of the 93 anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF), Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan extended his warm greetings to all Air Force personnel, veterans, civilians and their families. He lauded IAF for repeatedly demonstrating how air power can shape strategic outcomes, most notably during Operation Sindoor, where the Force reaffirmed its ability to strike deep inside enemy territory with precision. CDS commended the IAF’s intricate network of sensors and radars for effectively tracking & engaging enemy aircraft, aerial weapons and drones, adding that Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) units of the IAF supported by Indian Army Air Defence units, functioned seamlessly under the Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS), producing outstanding results during Operation Sindoor.
