Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described in the said Schedule; Any person interested in the land described in the said Schedule may – (i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any action taken under sub-section (3) of section 4 thereof; or (ii) claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the Act in respect of prospecting license ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the aforesaid land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub- section (1) of section 13 of the said Act, to the office, General Manager (CPD) of the M/s Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited, Registered Office and Head Office at Khanij Bhavan, 132 ft.
