NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 18th July, 2022
S.O. 3220(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal,
number S.O. 3468 (E), dated the 6th October, 2020, issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal
Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said
Act), published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated 6th October
2020, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire 265.21 acres (approximately) or
107.32 hectares (approximately) lands and all rights in or over such lands specified in the Schedule
appended to that notification;
And, whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made his report
to the Central Government;
And, whereas, the Central Government after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting
the Government of Jharkhand, is satisfied that land measuring 265.21 acres (approximately) or 107.32
hectares (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands as described in the Schedule appended hereto,
should be acquired;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the said Act,
the Central Government hereby declares that the lands measuring 265.21 acres (approximately) or 107.32
hectares (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands as described in the Schedule are hereby
acquired.
The plan bearing number REV/09/2022, dated the 1st January, 2022 of the area covered by this
notification, may be inspected at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, District - Chatra (Jharkhand) or at
the Office of Coal Controller, 1, Council House street, Kolkata 700001 or at the Office of the General
Manager, Amrapali Chandragupt Area, District Chatra (Jharkhand) or General Manager, Land and
Revenue, CCL, Darbhanga House, Ranchi- 834001, Jharkhand or Chief General Manager (Exploration
Division), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited, Gondwana Palace, Kanke Road, Ranchi -
834008, Jharkhand.
