Subject: Competitions for Logo Design and Tagline of the Authority to be constituted under THE
PROMOTION AND REGULATION OF ONLINE GAMING ACT, 2025 in India

Background: THE PROMOTION AND REGULATION OF ONLINE GAMING ACT, 2025 (“PROG
Act”) received the assent of the President on the 22nd August, 2025, a law aimed to promote and
regulate the online gaming sector and prohibit the online money games in India. The PROG Act is
aimed to protect individuals, from the adverse social, economic, psychological and privacy-related
impacts of such games; and to ensure the responsible use of digital technologies. Refer the weblink: [

The PROG Act provides provision for the constituting of an Authority to be called the Online Gaming
Authority of India. The Authority needs to establish a strong identity.
Thus, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is launching two nationwide
competitions for a) Logo Design and b) Tagline of the Authority to be constituted under the PROG
Act in India.
We invite creative minds from across the country to participate in this initiative, contributing to the
development of a logo that reflect the core functions and focus areas of the Authority under PROG Act.
Details about the competition, including participation guidelines are detailed below:
a) Organizing Authority: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
b) Objective: The primary objective of the competition is to solicit logo and tagline submissions that
effectively communicate the Authority and themes of PROG Act.
c) Target audience: The competition will be open to all Indian citizens/artists, ensuring broad public
engagement and inclusivity.
d) Terms and conditions:
- Each participant shall submit only one logo design and only one tagline.
- The submission shall reflect the core functions and focus areas of the Authority under
PROG Act.
- The entry shall be accompanied by a brief explanation of the logo design or tagline; and
how it best symbolizes the ethos of the Authority.
- The logo/tagline shall not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.- The logo/tagline shall be original and not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act,
1957. MeitY will not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of
intellectual property carried out by the participants.
- The design of the logo//tagline shall not infringe on the Intellectual Property Rights of any
third party.
- The winning design of the logo/tagline shall be the intellectual property of the Authority
under the PROG Act and the winner will not have any right over it.
- Submissions will ONLY be accepted via the MyGov platform on dedicated pages for this
purpose.
- The organizers shall not be responsible for any entries that are lost, late, incomplete,
incorrectly submitted, or affected due to technical errors. Proof of submission shall not be
considered proof of receipt.
- MeitY will reserve the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the terms and conditions,
evaluation criteria, etc.
- Any changes to the Terms & Conditions or evaluation criteria, or cancellation of the
competition, will be updated/ posted on www.mygov.in. It shall be the responsibility of the
participants to keep themselves informed about any such changes.
- The responsibility to comply with the guidelines and other conditions shall fully rest with
the participant.
- The submissions will be held in fiduciary capacity in MeitY and shall not be disclosed to
any one at any stage.

e) Evaluation Process:
- The competition entries will be reviewed by a specially constituted Expert Committee
under MeitY.
- The Expert Committee is as follows
a) Chairperson - Joint Secretary (Cyber Laws Division)
b) Member 1 - Group Coordinator (Cyber Laws Division)
c) Member 2 – Shri. Anil Agarwal, Vice President, NeGD.
f) Evaluation Criteria: Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Creativity and Originality: Entries shall be judged on the basis of elements of creativity,
originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit, visual impact and
its relevance.
- Relevance: The design shall align with the Authority under the PROG Act.
- Simplicity and Adaptability: The logo shall be simple, scalable, and adaptable to various
formats and media. The tagline shall be simple and easily understandable.
- Final decision: The decision of the Expert Committee will be final and binding on all the
participants.
g) Awards :
The prizes for the Logo Design competition shall be awarded as follows:o One (1) Winner: ₹1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only)
o Nine (9) Runner-up Winners: ₹10,000/- each (Rupees Ten Thousand only)
The prizes for the Tagline Competition shall be awarded as follows:
o One (1) Winner: ₹50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only)
o Nine (9) Runner-up Winners: ₹5,000/- each (Rupees Five Thousand only)
