No. F. 6/2016-SCA(I).—Consequent upon acceptance of the recommendations of the Seventh Central Pay
Commission (7th CPC), Sumptuary Allowance to Judicial Officers in Supreme Court Registry was abolished with effect
from 30th June, 2017 as notified vide Resolution dated 21st September, 2017, the Government was requested to re-
consider its decision to abolish the Sumptuary Allowance and till the decision taken by the Government no payment was
to be made. As per the said Resolution separate communication was to be issued by the Ministry.
2. The Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure vide its O.M. dated 22nd September, 2017 has conveyed
the decision of the Government that the expenditure on hospitality shall be treated as office expenditure and ceiling in
respect of office expenditure on hospitality shall be as under:—
